Affiliate Program Costs

Affiliate programs are rev share based. As such, our management fees follow that concept with a small monthly base. The base range depends on the weekly hours required to meet your program development and maintenance expectations. The commission (rev share) range depends on the potential success of the program. Affiliate commissions and Network/Software fees are in addition to Finon’s Affiliate Management fees.

Typical setup fees with an Affiliate Network like Commission Junction, for example, will cost about $5250. Commission Junction will also take a cut equal to 30% of Affiliate commissions (NOT 30% of sales). Alternative Networks’ fees (ShareASale.com, for example) or Affiliate Management software fees (Kowabunga, for example) would also be additional.

On average, we’ve found that an effective Affiliate program will bear an overarching ad cost average of about 10% of sale. Imagine an ad budget that is only 10% of sales!
